The Society and its many contributors help support outstanding performers on the Coast. With the generous support of community donors, 80 scholarships, trophies and medals are awarded annually to Festival participants.
Many students pursue post-secondary education with financial assistance from Festival awards. The Festival depend on contributions and memberships to support the awards program, pay adjudicators and rent venues.
Community volunteers also help organize events.
The Festival has come a long way since the first piano classes organized by Aletta Gilker and Mary Brooke to now include diverse performance disciplines.
